New CEO for BCAT
Bedford College Academies Trust (BCAT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Evans as Interim Chief Executive.
Alan has extensive experience having previously worked as a Finance & Resources Director and Interim CEO at another multi-academy trust in the East of England. Prior to this he was Chief Finance Officer and CEO of a unitary local authority.
Alan is a chartered accountant who has worked in the private and public sector.
“I am delighted to accept this appointment as Interim CEO at BCAT.
“I have already made an assessment of the current situation and I am looking forward to working with the team and building upon the current successes enjoyed by BCAT schools.
“Wixams Tree Primary is an extremely popular school and we hope to build on this success and reputation in the future.
“At Wixams Academy, preparation for the Year 11 cohort and for the opening of the sixth form in September 2022 is underway.
“There will of course be regular briefings to keep parents and staff informed of developments.
“The past year with Covid and lockdowns, has been a very challenging time for all staff, and I would like to thank them for their dedication and professionalism.
“I want to reassure the Wixams community, that educational well-being will always be at the forefront of any decisions taken by the schools and the Trust.”
